Editing process

All documents undergo a two-step procedure, i.e. editing and revision, that aims to improve the clarity and the impact of the data reported, without making any changes in content. The editing process focuses on errors in English usage (punctuation, grammar, sentence structure, and overall style), while the revision process includes an in-depth analysis of the text leading to the identification of any inconsistencies or incomplete data, and highlighting sections that need to be rearranged or require further explanation.

All manuscripts are edited in Microsoft Word. Upon completion of our service, authors are provided with two versions of the text: on one version, the changes made are visible for individual approval, while a second version is produced free from marks and suitable for readership. Queries or comments for authors are displayed in the text or listed separately.

Once the manuscript has been returned to the author, we continue to offer our service at no extra charge for any explanations about the proposed changes or for re-editing sections where the author has made minor changes to the original document.

Turnaround times may vary depending on workload and complexity or length of the submitted document. In general, the editing service is completed within 10 business days after receipt of the manuscript, while manuscript translation is provided within 20 business days.
